 *   Funding Status Update.   Funding Wave 41 for FY 2009 and Wave 80 (the last regular wave) for FY 2008 will be released this week.
 *   FY 2010 Application Window Closed – Next Steps.  Applicants who successfully submitted their applications by last Friday should: (a) track any mailings; (b) check application status on the SLD Web site; (c) submit Item 21 attachments; and (d) pay strict attention to Receipt Acknowledgment Letters (“RALs”).
 *   Community Use of School Internet Facilities.  Subject to several provisions, the FCC has approved the use of school Internet facilities by the general public during non-operating hours.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The deadline for submitting comments on the FCC’s proposed new CIPA rules was extended to February 25th. A presentation at last week’s FCC open meeting previews several E-rate program changes expected to be included in the forthcoming National Broadband Plan.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Briefs dated February 16, 18 and 19 – Window Close.  Last week’s SLD News Briefs covered several aspects of the impending application window close.
