* Funding Status. Wave 4 for FY 2010 and Wave 57 for FY 2009 will be
released this week.
* FCC NPRM on E-Rate Program Revisions: Eligible Services. The
deadline for comments on the NPRM, including the eligible services
section, has been set for July 9th. Concurrently, two other eligible
services notices are subject to comment. The two major changes proposed
for the Eligible Services List for FY 2011 are: (a) Web hosting will no
longer be eligible; and (b) leased dark fiber will be eligible.
* Schools and Libraries News Brief dated June 11 – Form 486
Letters. Applicants successfully submitting Form 486s will receive (as
will their service providers) Form 486 Notification Letters. Some
applicants will be subjected to Technology Plan Approval reviews which,
if they fail, may result in either Form 486 Rejection Letters or Form
486 Cancellation Letters.
