 *   Funding Status. Wave 5 for FY 2010 and Wave 58 for FY 2009 will be released this week.
 *   National Broadband Plan/E-Rate Update.  The FCC releases an NOI seeking comments on a framework for regulating broadband Internet services.  The impact on E‑rate is relatively minor, perhaps affecting the eligibility of dark fiber and additional funding for new services.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  Available spots at the SLD’s fall training workshops, beginning September 30th, are no longer open in Washington DC and Los Angeles.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated June 18 – Summer activities for Applicants.  The SLD lists and discusses ten activities that applicants need to be aware of for this summer.
