 *   Funding Status. Funding Wave 51 for FY 2009 will be released this week. The SLD is indicating that the first funding wave for FY 2010, expect shortly, will be a large one.  New estimates of next year’s roll-over funding suggest Priority 2 funding may again reach 80%.
 *   Technology Plan Approval Renewals.  Applicant technology plans, set to expire June 30th, need to be updated and reapproved by July 1st.  Recent SLD tech plan workshops reviewed various aspects of the E-rate tech plan requirements.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The preliminary agenda for the FCC’s open meeting on May 20th indicates that an E-rate NPRM and Order will be released thereafter.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated April 30th – In- and Out-of-Window 471s.  The SLD has updated the status of almost 480 late-certified applications to “CERTIFIED – In WINDOW.”  Applicants with out-of-window applications will be formally notified shortly.
