 *   Funding Status.  Wave 19 for FY 2010 and Wave 68 for FY 2009 will be released this week.
 *   New FCC E-Rate Order.  A series of new E-rate rules were approved by the FCC last week.  Changes include the eligibility of dark fiber, the elimination of the tech plan requirement for Priority 1 services, and pilot projects to provide off-campus wireless Internet for students.  The formal report and order will be released this week with additional details.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The FCC also ordered the release of additional spectrum to support new wireless services such as "super WiFi."  SLD fall training begins on Thursday.  There are several key E-rate deadlines in late September and October.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated September 24.  This News Brief summarizes the key components of the new E-rate report and order.
