 *   Funding Status.  Wave 26 for FY 2011 and Wave 78 for FY 2010 are scheduled for release this week. Priority 2 funding is being provided at 90% for FY 2011.  The application window for FY 2012 will open January 9 and close March 20, 2012.
 *   FCC Competitive Bidding Appeal Decisions.  The FCC released three appeal decisions last week addressing (a) Form 470s and RFPs, price as the primary bid assessment factor, and (c) manufacturer designations on Form 470s.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The e-Bookroom Initiative filed comments with the FCC proposing an extension of EDU2011 pilot program funding.  A video of the Senate confirmation hearings provides a nice introduction to the two new FCC Commissioner nominees.
 *   Schools and Libraries Special News Brief dated December 9.  The SLD latest News Brief discusses the Form 470 as a part of the E-rate application process.
