 *   Funding Status.  New funding waves for FY 2009, FY 2010, and FY 2011 are scheduled for this week.  Additional unused funds have been identified by USAC improving the prospects for Priority 2 funding at 80% for FY 2010.
 *   FCC Implementation order on Wireless Internet Pilot Project.  The FCC provided additional information, including reporting requirements, on the “Learning On-The-Go” project.  The Order sets the stage for funding of the associated EDU2011 applications.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The SLD is working to resolve a systems problem generating multiple BEAR Notification Letters.  The FCC is taking steps to further curb “cramming” — an issue worth considering while preparing BEARs.  Sprint’s yearend E‑rate summaries simplify BEAR calculations.  The USDA is phasing in a new direct certification program that will affect NSLP eligibility data.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated July 5.  Last week’s News Brief discusses FY 2010 invoicing for recurring services.
