 *   Funding Status.  The application window for FY 2011 closes March 24th.  Wave 42 for FY 2010 and Wave 82 for FY 2009 will be released this week.
 *   Key FCC Decision on Basic Maintenance for FY 2011.  An FCC appeal decision reversed a 2003 rule that prohibited the allocation of basic and non-basic maintenance in the same contract.  This change will eliminate much of the FY 2011 filing uncertainties of complying with the new eligibility rule involving unbundled warranties.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The FCC selected 20 participants for the EDU2011 wireless Internet pilot program.  Initial comments on 80/81% funding issue for FY 2010 reflect concern about Priority 2 funding for FY 2011.  The FCC approved a one-year extension of Solix’s E-rate support contract.  There is now a waiting list for attending either of the two service provider trainings this May.
