 *   Funding Status.  Wave 20 for FY 2011 and Wave 73 for FY 2010 are scheduled for release this week. Priority 2 funding is now being provided at 90% for FY 2011.  The application window for FY 2012 is expected to open in the first week of January and close in mid-March.
 *   Discount Calculations Update.  The SLD's fall training workshops provide additional information on the use of Direct Certification data and on alternative discount mechanisms.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  HP is seeking additional FCC guidance on the applicability of the gift rules to typical sales practices involving equipment loans and free consulting.  The FCC adopted the new Connect America Fund.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated October 28.  Last week's News Brief reviews the use of Consultant Registration Numbers.
