  *   Funding Status.  The application window for FY 2012 is now closed.  Wave 44 for FY 2011 will be released this week.  Priority 2 funding for FY 2011 is currently being awarded at 90% and denied at 79% and below.
  *   July 1st Deadlines for CIPA and Tech Plans.  As of the start of FY 2012, revised CIPA rules require Internet safety policies to include a component covering the education of minors about appropriate online behavior.  Priority 2 applicants, with approved technology plans expiring June 30th will need newly plan approvals effective July 1st.
  *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  Last week, the FCC released four more appeal decisions.
  *   Schools and Libraries News Brief Dated April 20.  The SLD’s latest News Brief reported that the SLD has sent over 8,500 letters reminding FY 2012 applicants to certify their Form 471s and/or submit Item 21 attachments.  Action is required by May 9th.
