  *   Funding Status.  FY 2014 application window will open January 9th and close March 26th.  Funding waves for FY 2011 and FY 2013 are scheduled this week.
  *   "CEO" Becomes "CEP."  The Community Eligibility Option, being phased in by the USDA as a new free meal alternative, becomes available for all states for 2014-2015 and is being re-designated as the Community Eligibility Provision.  Comments on CEP rules are due January 3rd.   E-rate discounts for CEP schools are currently governed by interim procedures.
  *   Updates and Reminders.   Form 486s deadlines FY 2013 waves 14-20 will be arising in December and January.
  *   SLD News Brief Dated December 13.  The SLD's latest News Brief continues a discussion of the Form 470 process.
