  *   Funding Status.  FY 2014 application window will open no earlier than January 8th.  Funding waves for FY 2012 and FY 2013 are scheduled this week.
  *   Updates and Reminders.   Reply comments for the E-Rate 2.0 NPRM are due November 8th. The Senate confirmed the nominations for Michael O'Rielly and the new FCC chairman Tom Wheeler. Form 486s deadlines FY 2013 waves 8-11 are in November.    The SLD's 2013 fall training workshops conclude this week in Los Angeles and Portland.
  *   SLD News Brief Dated November 1.  The SLD's latest News Brief continues its review of service substitutions.
