The Role of Existing Culture Within Child Death Review (CDR) Teams

Research Survey: The Role of Existing Culture Within Child Death Review (CDR) Teams

The purpose of this study is to identify how the existing culture of a CDR team impacts individual members and teams. The specific elements of culture that will be measured are mindful organizing, psychological safety, racial justice, emotional exhaustion, secondary traumatic stress, and workplace connectedness. Culture will be measured through an assessment of psychological safety, mindful organizing, and cognitive bias.

This research is happening outside of the scope of the National Center for Fatality Review and Prevention, a program of MPHI. Participation is voluntary and will not impact any resources or technical assistance you receive from the National Center for Fatality Review and Prevention.

If you agree to participate in this research project, we will ask you to fill out a survey which will be kept confidential to the extent allowed by law. We will not collect your name. When we write about the study the state CDR team that you participate on will not be identified. You are invited to share this research opportunity with other members of your state and local CDR programs. The survey is available at https://edrc.mcw.edu/redcap/surveys/?s=HKYJWKPWDWWHR449.

All members of CDR teams who are at least 18 years old are eligible to participate in this research. Please share this survey with eligible colleagues who might be interested in participating. If you have questions about the study, please feel free to ask; my contact information is given below.

 Sincerely,

 Abby Collier
