NEW Supporting CDR and FIMR Fatality Review Coordinators to Prevent Coordinator Turnover

supporting CDR and FIMR fatality review coordinators to prevent coordinator turnover

Good Morning,
The National Center for Fatality Review and Prevention wants to better understand how we can support CDR and FIMR fatality review coordinators to prevent coordinator turnover. Turnover of coordinators, especially when frequent, slows down the progress of the fatality review teams and the potential impacts on communities. To inform how the National Center can support this area, we need a better understanding of why coordinators are leaving.
The National Center is partnering with the Michigan Public Health Institute's Center for Healthy Communities (MPHI-CHC) to conduct interviews with FIMR and CDR fatality review coordinators who plan on leaving their positions or have recently left (in the past 6 months).
If you are a fatality review coordinator leaving your position and interested in participating, the interview would be a 45-60 minute zoom call, with a MPHI-CHC facilitator, discussing why you decided to leave your coordinator position.
The calls will be recorded by MPHI-CHC and only accessible to MPHI-CHC staff. The recordings will be used to ensure the accuracy of results. This interview is not an exit interview affiliated with your employer. The National Center and any former, current, or future employers will not have access to your information or interview recording. Recordings will be destroyed after analysis is complete.
Participation in the interview is completely voluntary. If you are unable or not willing to participate in the interview but know an individual who is a fatality review coordinator leaving their position or recently left their position within the past 6 months, you can invite them to participate instead.
If you are willing to participate, please click on the link and an MPHI-CHC facilitator will contact you to answer any questions and if you decide to participate, will schedule an interview at your convenience. Participants will receive a $50 check for their participation.
