Welcome to the Governor's Natural Resource Office Federal Funding Opportunities mailing list! The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) have allocated billions of dollars towards natural resource conservation and management. This is a once in a generation opportunity to take advantage of the large amount of federal dollars available to successfully fund the state's priority natural resource needs and build a more resilient Oregon in the face of a changing climate. In order to help maximize the amount of federal funding coming into Oregon, the Governor's Office will share available natural resource-related BIL and IRA grant opportunities, build partner collaborations, and outreach successes through this mailing list. By working together, we will increase the amount of federal funding received and have a substantial positive impact on our ecosystems and communities.

Current Grant Opportunities
Attached is a list of the natural resource-related BIL and IRA federal grant opportunities that are currently open, along with a summary of the focus, deadlines, awards, eligible applicants, contacts, and links for more information. The 16 available grants provide funding for:

  *   Small Surface Water and Groundwater Storage Projects
  *   Environmental Water Resources Projects
  *   Large-Scale Water Recycling Projects
  *   Water and Energy Efficiency Grants
  *   Drought Resiliency & Domestic Water Supply Projects
  *   Training and Technical Assistance for Municipalities and Wastewater Treatment Systems
  *   Fisheries Restoration and Irrigation Mitigation
  *   Fisheries Citizen Science Funding
  *   Fish Passage Grants
  *   National Estuarine Research Reserve System Habitat Protection and Restoration Grants
  *   Climate Program - Modeling, Analysis, Predictions, and Projections Program
  *   Regional Resiliency & Vulnerability Assessments for Ocean and Coastal Acidification
  *   Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grant
  *   Brownfield Grants

Share Your Efforts and Successes!
The Governor's Natural Resource Office is working to collect summaries of partner efforts in applying for BIL and IRA funds specific to natural resource conservation and management. If you are interested in sharing summaries of your BIL/IRA grant applications and/or awards, please fill out the attached excel spreadsheet (regardless of whether your application was successful or not). The information will be used to showcase the diversity of partners, projects, and efforts across the state working to bring in BIL/IRA funding into Oregon. An interactive map is being developed to outreach Oregon's BIL/IRA application/project efforts and we would like to include yours as well!
