At the March OGIC meeting, I asked about sending a letter to the FCC
related to potential widespread GPS interference from broadband
technology being proposed by a company called LightSquared. I have
continued to follow the progress of that proposal and the research being
done by many on potential GPS interference, with the help of several
folks from OGIC's technical committee, GPL. The FCC has received many
letters about this issue and I didn't think it was necessary to send a
letter from OGIC. However, I was involved in drafting and sending a
letter from the Coalition of Geospatial Organizations yesterday. That
letter is posted here. http://cogo.pro/News.html. I thought you might
like to see it as follow up to the OGIC agenda item.
