1. Elevation FIT Charter (Requested Action: Adoption of document)

In 2011 the Elevation Framework Implementation Team (E-FIT) produced a draft charter document intended to clarify its mission, functions, and procedures. In October, 2013 this document was circulated to the FIT Leads for their review and, upon this group's consensus, it was reviewed by OGIC's Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) which also supported the document. This charter was first considered by OGIC in its June, 2014 meeting but due to time constraints an adoption action was not taken. To review the draft E-FIT charter document, see:

2. Oregon Lidar Acquisition Prioritization Plan (Requested Action: Endorsement of document)

In early 2014 the USGS announced the 3DEP lidar data acquisition funding program. The goal of this program is to help fund partnerships to establish complete lidar coverage for the contiguous 48 states within eight years. In order to be competitive in this program, states were urged to develop lidar data acquisition prioritization plans. At their February meeting, the E-FIT established a sub-committee, called the Data Acquisition Advisory Committee (DAAC) to guide the creation of Oregon's prioritization plan. This document was drafted over the spring and summer and approved by the E-FIT in August. The results of the prioritization were incorporated into Oregon's pre-proposal for 3DEP funding, which is due in September and is being authored by DOGAMI with E-FIT participation. The E-FIT would like OGIC to endorse this prioritization plan and notes that it will be a "living" document since the analysis incorporated into its results can be re-run in the future to derive new prioritization results as additional lidar data are collected in Oregon. 3. Change in Natural Hazards FIT Chair Position (Requested Action: Approval)

At its August 27th meeting, a proposal was presented to select Steve Lucker (DLCD) to replace Ian Madin (DOGAMI) as chair of the Natural Hazards FIT. Ian has provided excellent service to the Hazards FIT for several years, and will remain as Geoscience FIT Chair, however, his busy work schedule does not permit him to devote the amount of time needed to the role going forward. Steve, in his lead role on the Oregon Hazards Mitigation Planning effort at DLCD, has agreed to take on the role of Hazards FIT Chair. The Hazards FIT approved the change. OGIC approval is needed to finalize this action.
