Subject: Launch of redesigned Oregon Explorer
Greetings from the Oregon Explorer program.
We are excited to announce the launch of the redesigned Oregon Explorer natural resources digital library! You can explore the new platform at the following link: https://hub.oregonexplorer.info/ with the new and improved Data page accessed directly here: https://hub.oregonexplorer.info/pages/data with links to the OSDL archived non-framework data here: https://hub.oregonexplorer.info/pages/osdl-archive
The redesigned Oregon Explorer is hosted on the ESRI Hub platform, chosen for its modern capabilities and enhanced user experience. This transition brings several benefits:
* Improved content flexibility: Information is displayed more dynamically, making it easier to explore and understand.
* Enhanced data access: The platform offers better tools for accessing and interacting with natural resource datasets.
* Cloud-based reliability: Hosting on a cloud platform ensures seamless updates and greater stability.
As part of this transition, we have focused on migrating our sponsored topics to the new site. To ensure continuity, we have set up redirects from the old Oregon Explorer homepage and sponsored topic pages to their corresponding locations on the new hub.
If you are linking to the Oregon Explorer from your website, we kindly ask that you update your links to reflect the new URL.
Looking ahead, we plan to collaborate with you semi-annually to review and refine the ways in which we direct people to GEOHub and provide access to spatial data on the Oregon Explorer.
We hope you enjoy exploring this improved platform and look forward to hearing your feedback!
With gratitude for your partnership,
Janine and the Oregon Explorer team
