Hello,

As FEMA moves forward with implementation planning related to NOAA Fisheries' 2016 Biological Opinion on the implementation of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) In Oregon, we are seeking additional input from NFIP communities and other stakeholders. This outreach builds on the previous effort led by Oregon's Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) and seeks to build additional detail on potential implementation pathways that are consistent with Oregon's state land use planning goals and processes. The meeting will be hosted by FEMA with expected attendance and participation from DLCD and NOAA Fisheries.

Please save the date for a workshop on this topic to be held in Salem on February 21, 2020. The intent of this workshop will be to share updates and discuss next steps on FEMA's implementation planning process and to request information and input from our local- and state-level partners. It is the first in a series of 2-3 workshops anticipated in 2020 on this topic. There will also be a shorter webinar version of the meeting on a future date, for those not able to attend in person.
