Oregon State University: Assistant Professor in geospatial analysis, modeling, or visualization

The College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences invites applications for a full-time (12 month, 0.75 FTE), tenure-track Assistant Professor position.

The Geography and Geospatial Science program in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) at Oregon State University (OSU) seeks a colleague who has expertise in geospatial analysis, modeling, or visualization and who applies these methods to research that includes social or environmental justice or equity. Candidates' research programs may emphasize any social, biological, or physical realm, including but not limited to political ecology, water, land, climate, or management of Earth systems. Candidates' research agendas should complement the Geography and Geospatial Sciences program's three areas of excellence: global change, risk, and resilience; Earth system science; and geospatial analysis and modeling.

We seek a colleague who has a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion through teaching, mentoring, research, and outreach. OSU values, engages, and builds from the diversity of its community. OSU is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employer, and particularly encourages applications from members of historically underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, women, individuals with disabilities, veterans, LGBTQ community members, and others who demonstrate the ability to help us achieve our vision.

To ensure full consideration, applications must be received by January 10, 2022.
