Please forward my comments to any you think may have an interest as well.

I have read about this issue as well. Here is another article on the same subject from GPS World;
http://www.gpsworld.com/gnss-system/news/data-shows-disastrous-gps-jamming-fcc-approved-broadcaster-11029?utm_source=GSS&utm_medium=
email&utm_campaign=GeoIntelligence_02_07_2011&utm_content=data-shows-disastrous-gps-jamming-fcc-approved-broadcaster-11029

FYI The FCC did approve their application so they are currently moving ahead with transmitter deployment.

This does have the potential to be quite a problem and make GPS totally non functional especially in urban environments. From what I
have read the interference reaches at least 3 miles from the transmitters and at this range it totally knocks out the GPS L band
signals. The company doing this is pushing high-speed wireless internet, they have lots of federal stimulus money and high powered
lobbyists on their side. I think that no one will do anything until it all craters out, then the GPS manufacturers and car dealers
will have a fit. Much less the emergency operations folks. I hope everyone remembers how to use a compass, oh yea the magnetic pole
is moving and collapsing as well, so a compass wont work either. We better figure out something before it all goes poof. Pardon the
sarcasim.

Hi folks, I brought up an issue yesterday at GPL that has the potential to cause problems with GPS use across the country. The
group agreed to examine the information about this issue with the notion of possibly asking for OGIC or other action soon. Ryan
Dalton with OEM received the link below that explains the issue in understandable terms and thought it would be good for you all to
see.

Cy,

Since you brought this up yesterday, I received this link via email from a GIS user group in WA. I thought it might be worth
passing on to the rest of the group because it explains the issue in very understandable terms.
