[gpl_list] Aerial Photo web services

I'm not sure what the problem is with what Dorothy illustrates below,
but I'll find out. The 2009 web service that Erik has made available
via Imagery Explorer works quite well. I just checked and could zoom
much further than what is illustrated below, in either example, with
little or no degradation of the image. There's no problem with the
imagery that would cause such degradation. Must be something else.

FYI:

Here are some examples of being able to zoom in with the aerial photos.
It would be wonderful if the ESRI service would allow one or two more
zoom levels in the rural areas. If there are any other web services I
should be aware of (using projection 102100), please let me know.

ESRI image service:

erver

In urban areas, we can zoom in closer. In rural areas, we cannot zoom to
the same scale as urban areas.

Roughly:

1.2" = 100 ft in urban areas

1.5" = 500 ft in rural areas

This is the esri web service as far as it can zoom in a rural area (near
La Grande):

For GEO, we can zoom to whatever scale we need, but the quality is very
poor.

This is the same area and zoom using the GEO 2009 imagery (in projection
102100). It's not even recognizable.
