The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Women's
Health is pleased to offer FREE training on the agency's online health
information resource, Quick Health Data Online. The trainings are
intended to introduce health sector professionals and those interested
in health status to the system and to demonstrate the system's
capabilities. Best of all, you can be in your own office, use your own
computer, and actively participate in the training via a conference
call. The training is tailored to community members, health providers,
professionals, researchers, and students.
Quick Health Data Online provides county, state, regional and national
data for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and US territories and
possessions. Data are available by gender, race, and ethnicity, and in
certain cases, by age. The data come from a variety of national and
state sources. Information is organized into a number of categories,
including demographics, mortality, maternal health, reproductive health,
violence, prevention, disease incidence, mental health, and access to
care. Within each main category, there are numerous subcategories of
data.
Trainings are currently scheduled for October 20, 22, 26, 28, and
November 10, 12, and 18, 2009. If you are interested in participating
in the trainings, please go to website:
www.womenshealth.gov/quickhealthdata for exact times and call-in
information.
Please assist us with the dissemination of this training information by
forwarding it within your network.
Thank you.
