Making the Connection: Intimate Partner Violence and Public Health



Join us for a Webinar on April 5

Dr. Miller wil review the research evidence linking intimate partner violence with poor reproductive health outcomes. She will discuss the implications for public health practice, including prevention and intervention programs. 

Elizabeth Miller, MD, PhD is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the U.C. Davis Children's Hospital. Trained in medical anthropology, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Miller's research examines the impact of teen dating abuse on adolescent health and the implications for prevention and intervention. Her research also focuses on health services delivery in school and community settings, specifically for marginalized populations, i.e. trafficked persons and youth who are pregnant/parenting, gang-involved, in foster care, and/or homeless. 

Dr. Miller is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Women's Health Region X and the Oregon Health Authority, Oregon Public Health Division and the Office of Family Health.
