Colleagues,

I am happy to announce that the new SmokefreeOregon.com is now live!
Many of you have provided us with excellent content and feedback
throughout the development of this site and we really appreciate your
help in getting this up and running.

As many of you know, we originally decided to redesign the website to
be more user friendly for the general public. We have updated the look,
feel, language and functionality, and have also provided numerous
resources and tools for people to use as they continue to advocate for a
smokefree/tobacco-free Oregon. We have also created opportunities to
engage people in real conversations through social media tools and an
opportunity for them to share their personal story about how they have
been impacted by tobacco. The new site also has a number of resources
and tools that will be helpful for legislators and other decision
makers.

Some of the highlights of the new SmokefreeOregon.com include:
· An easily updatable slideshow on the homepage, showcasing our
key issues (housing, community colleges, etc).
· Easy links to Smokefree Oregon social media, as well as a
Twitter feed displaying tweets from a targeted list of
people/organizations that focus on tobacco prevention and healthy
communities.
· Tobacco facts (see bottom of the homepage) that change every
time the page is visited or refreshed.
· A tool for people to tell their story about how they have been
impacted by tobacco, which will later be shared on the site.
· A feature which easily allows for pages to be printed, emailed,
or shared through a number of social media networks (see "Share and
Enjoy" on each page).
· An interactive map of Oregon that will list all of the
smokefree/tobacco-free policies for each county and all of the tribes.
Please note: We are working on a process for gathering this info and the
map will not be live when we first launch. Once we have enough info to
populate it we will launch it in Phase 2.

This website will be constantly evolving as new information becomes
available. Also, we would really appreciate it if you would consider
adding the Smokefree Oregon logo (attached) to your website and link it
to http://www.smokefreeoregon.com. ( http://www.smokefreeoregon.com./ )
You can also find Smokefree Oregon on Facebook
(http://www.facebook.com/SmokefreeOregon) and Twitter
(http://www.twitter.com/SmokefreeOregon).

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks
again!
