Community Grants Available for Cancer Education and Outreach!
The University of Washington's Native People for Cancer Control and the Institute for Translational Health Sciences are partnering to offer cancer related mini grants! Please see details below:
Grant Information: Native People for Cancer Control is requesting applications from Tribes, Tribal organizations, community organizations and groups, living in the states of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, North Dakota, and South Dakota for projects involving Native populations and cancer education, advocacy, prevention, screening, and treatment. Grants may also be used to support conference agendas that examine key issues relating to cancer and Native populations, and/or to send staff to cancer related trainings and conferences. One application per organization please.
Amount: Up to $3,500
Due Date: Applications due by Friday, 1/13/2012.
Project Period: Funding announcements made 2/1/2012; Project to be completed by 5/31/2012
