* Planning is underway for the 2013 Self Management Forum, which will be held in late spring. The scope of the meeting will be expanded to include a wider array of evidence-based self-management programs. To join the planning committee or submit ideas regarding content, please contact susan.m.miles at state.or.us<mailto:susan.m.miles at state.or.us>.

* Stanford curriculum update: All Living Well (CDSMP) leaders and master trainers must complete a day-long update training by fall 2013 to maintain their certified status. Several master trainers have completed their update and are offering leader updates. Leaders and coordinators should check http://public.health.oregon.gov/DiseasesConditions/ChronicDisease/LivingWell/Pages/StanfordCurriculumUpdate.aspx#find for information about scheduled updates. * Funding to expand availability of Stanford's Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (Living Well/Tomando Control) in Oregon was recently announced. Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and Centers for Independent Living (CILs) are eligible to apply for mini-grants of up to $5,000/year for 3 years. The deadline to apply is December 7. Update #3: Worksite Wellness at local WIC Agencies: Overview of Survey Results (approximately 15 mins)
Rebecca Pawlak - Wellness at Work Coordinator and Adrienne Mullock - Public Health Educator, State WIC Program

Last spring, conversations about worksite wellness with local WIC agencies began. The state WIC office conducted a survey to hear the ways WIC agencies are incorporating wellness activities into their worksites - many of which are housed in local public health departments.

The survey was adapted from the Wellness at Work assessment tool and asked questions on healthy eating, physical activity, tobacco, breastfeeding support, and organizational/individual support for worksite wellness. The data was made available to RSN regions and may be useful for county wellness efforts.

#4: One good thing
