In an exciting step toward a healthier state, on January 1, 2013, state agencies will begin adopting tobacco-free campus policies by Executive Order from the Governor. This will be a phased process with facility campuses wholly owned or leased by the state required to be tobacco-free on January 1, 2013, shared campuses required to be tobacco-free by July 1, 2013, and Corrections facility campuses to be tobacco-free by December 31, 2014. The Public Health Division is be providing technical assistance to agencies as they go through this process - hear about this process and have an opportunity to ask questions.
