In the 2013-2014 grant year, Healthy Communities Coordinators will be working in the Health Systems setting to reduce availability and promotion of sugary drinks and/or work towards establishing nutrition standards including sodium reduction and the elimination of trans fats.

Our two presenters have expertise to help us start on this path. Nancy Gummer has been successful in changing nutrition standards in Hermiston’s Good Sheppard hospital. Emma Sirois directs the Healthy Food Program for Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility. Together they will provide practical experience in advancing these objectives. There will be time for discussions and questions, too.

This webinar is required for Healthy Communities Coordinators. TPEP Coordinators are invited to attend.
