Hello Grantees,
Holly and I are excited to let you know about some upcoming milestones in TPEP communications and media support.
On Monday, if you watch television, you may start to see the broadcast ads from the fall ad buy. There is an environmental ad focused on what happens to cigarette butts once they are dropped (we fondly refer to this ad as Doggy Butts), and an add called Hallway focused on the cost of tobacco use to the state. If you receive any questions or feedback on these from your colleagues or community members, Holly and I would be interested to hear what it is.
At around the same time, you will see a new look and feel to the Smokefreeoregon.com web site. Coates Kokes has worked hard to refresh this site and create a digital landing place for Oregonians who want to learn more about tobacco use, sales, and cessation in their community. You will still be able to find all the resources and materials you're accustom to by clicking on the Resources link in the menu bar or by typing Smokefreeoregon.com/resources into your browser. If you have any trouble finding something that you need, please let your Liaison know.
Finally, if your local or tribal health department Facebook account hasn't liked the SmokeFreeOregon Facebook page yet, we strongly encourage you to do so. The SmokeFreeOregon Facebook presence is being greatly strengthened as part of the digital campaign, and there will be great daily content to read and share on your local and tribal pages. You can find the updated social media calendar for the next four weeks on HPCDP Connection (we will try to post it by Tuesday of next week). If you would like to use any material form the calendar for other purposes, please contact us and we'll work with Coates Kokes to get you the material in the best possible format for your needs.
If you have any questions now, or in the coming weeks as the broadcast and digital campaigns get underway, feel free and be welcomed to be in touch with anyone here. Holly, myself and your Liaison are all happy to talk more, try to answer questions, help think through how you can use this locally, and address any concerns.
Thank you,
Kati
