Hello TPEP grantees:
The Cross Agency Health Improvement Project (CAHIP), staffed by HPCDP, is an initiative aiming to improve the health of employees, clients and consumers of the Oregon Health Authority and Department of Human Services.
OHA Addictions and Mental Health (AMH) is a member of the CAHIP steering committee, and as part of the 2013-2015 CAHIP workplan, AMH is working to ensure successful implementation of the Tobacco Freedom policy, which prohibits tobacco use by staff, consumers and visitors at all AMH licensed and funded residential treatment facilities.
Since February 2014, HPCDP and AMH have jointly worked on developing an online survey that will soon be sent to AMH residential facilities asking administrators about the successes and challenges of implementing the Policy. Responses will be combined into a report and publicly shared by Fall 2014 to highlight successes of the Tobacco Freedom Policy and identify ways AMH can provide additional support to its facilities.
If you have any questions or are interested in additional details, please contact your HPCDP liaison.
Thanks, Beth
