[HealthyTribes] Change Agent Training Series - Update and Reminder

Good morning HPCDP grantees,

The Change Agent registration website has been updated to reflect revisions to the training objectives - see website here<http://beattygroup.cvent.com/events/change-agent-training-series-and-grantees-in-person-trainings/custom-17-d82637f89a674108a5903500c6737b8f.aspx> and below. As a reminder, these sessions are a part of an optional policy change process training series focused on tobacco-free worksites. Even if you did not attend the first two trainings, the trainings are designed so participants can benefit from attending one or more than one session.
Session 3: Policy Development, Policy Passage (March 18 - Portland)
After this session, participants should be able to:

  1.  Connect Change Agent Training to the Policy Change Process Model
  2.  Recall key concepts for Assessment and Community Outreach and Education
  3.  Revise policy language to create strong effective county/tribal tobacco free properties policies
  4.  Analyze current County/Tribal employee cessation benefits in the context of best practices and ACA Guidance for Comprehensive Cessation Benefit
  5.  Create a plan for improving employee cessation benefits
  6.  Understand special considerations for county/ tribal behavioral health providers
  7.  Organize testimony for a formal policy hearing/debate
Session 4: Implement Policy and Support Compliance; Evaluate Policy and Report Results (May 19 - Bend)
After this session, participants should be able to:

  1.  Discuss key concepts from Policy Change Model + previous training sessions
  2.  Develop a plan for implementation and supporting compliance
  3.  Describe at least 5 tools/methods for communicating policy implementation information and plans to key audiences
  4.  Develop an implementation communication plan
  5.  Monitor and report policy successes/issues
