------ sample message -----

Hello,

Oregon Transportation and Growth Management's Education and Outreach program (TGM) is offering an opportunity to convene public health professionals and land use and transportation (LU/T) professionals at the local level to identify and work collaboratively on a built environment plan or project. Applying is a simple process. Applicants are encouraged to think about their goals for bringing health into this conversation, talk to LU/T partners, consider current needs, and put forward a request using the guidance found online<http://www.oregon.gov/LCD/TGM/Pages/outreach.aspx>. For LPHAs that are new to this work, this is an opportunity to bring these two sectors together and build foundational knowledge, skills, and a shared understanding of potential roles in making great places. For those that have already engaged in built environment work, the request may address more technical issues, specific plan language or policy options. The assistance provided is customized to your needs!

The TGM web site<http://www.oregon.gov/LCD/TGM/Pages/outreach.aspx> and the attached flier (titled "Outreach.pdf") for additional information about this opportunity and submittal details.
