The Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Section (HPCDP) of the Oregon Public Health Division is seeking a Surveillance, Evaluation and Cancer Registry manager. Our mission is to serve all people in Oregon by advancing policies, environments and systems that promote health, and prevent and manage chronic diseases. HPCDP promotes a culturally competent and diverse work environment.

This position engages with public health leaders and community members to assure the availability of quality information. You will oversee information to drive policies, systems and environmental changes that decrease unhealthy behaviors such as tobacco and alcohol use, and increase healthy behaviors such as physical activity and access to healthy foods. In this role, you will join a large team of dedicated professionals engaging with Oregon's greatest health challenges within Oregon's public health system.

The surveillance, evaluation and cancer registry manager supervises a diverse workforce of 15 talented employees. This position has the opportunity to work with an exciting mix of data communication, engagement with researchers and decision-makers, continuous quality improvement, and evaluation.

The Portland State Office Building is located in the Lloyd District of Portland, Oregon, just minutes from downtown.
