PLEASE SAVE THE DATE!
2017 Grantees and Contractors Annual Meeting
12 PM on November 7th to 2 PM on November 9th, 2017
University Place Conference Center at Portland State University

This annual meeting is convened by the Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention section of the Oregon Health Authority's Public Health Division to provide an opportunity to meet together with grantees and contractors engaged for support of our shared mission.
The purpose of this meeting is to foster coordination and collaboration among grantees, to share program outcomes and lessons learned, and to provide opportunities for training and technical assistance in support of policy, systems and environmental change in local communities.
The 2017 Grantees and Contractors Annual Meeting brings together all local, tribal, and community-based programs working on alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention, chronic disease prevention, and chronic disease self-management.
The Grantees and Contractors Annual Meeting supports the strategic priorities of the Oregon Public Health Division to support health for all Oregonians across the state. These priorities include:

  *   reducing tobacco use
  * decreasing alcohol abuse and misuse
  *   promoting physical activity
  *   promoting healthy eating

Objectives for this meeting are:
1) To provide an opportunity for collaboration and interaction between grantees, contractors and state staff responsible for health communications, evaluation, training and technical assistance.
2) To allow grantees to share ideas and experiences, celebrate successes and identify opportunities to partner and coordinate in support of improving health, preventing chronic disease, and reducing substance use disorder.
3) To empower participants to use their skills and influence to inspire community engagement and build a movement to improve the health of people in their communities.
4) To serve as a professional development opportunity for grantees.

We look forward to seeing you all again this November! You will receive additional information as the planning and registration processes develop these details. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your HPCDP contacts if you have questions.

Best regards,

Jennifer Diallo, M.Ed.
