[HealthyTribes] New e-cig cessation resource for teens - This Is Quitting

Good afternoon, TPEP, ADPEP, and RHEC Coordinators -

I'm passing on a new resource from the Truth campaign that you may find helpful in your work. We often receive requests for quit programs that are specific to vape products that coordinators can share with partners. This Is Quitting is a text-based program designed for teens and young adults up to age 24. It's an easy, opt-in program and also has support for those not yet ready to quit.

The results on This Is Quitting effectiveness are still preliminary, but they're promising enough that the CDC is promoting the program. Note that the program isn't connected to the Oregon Quit Line at 1-800-QUIT-NOW, so people who want to enroll wouldn't receive NRT or other benefits of that service.
