Good afternoon, all -

As part of the Oregon Health Authority's (OHA) ongoing response to the outbreak of e-cigarette and vaping product use-associated lung injury (EVALI), we have updated the Stay True To You, Talk With Them, and Habla con ellos media campaigns to be more inclusive of all types of vaping. We're glad to have these Oregon resources available for you and your community partners as you respond to the vaping crisis and increase in youth vaping of nicotine and marijuana.

We encourage you to use the updated websites (www.staytruetoyou.org<http://www.staytruetoyou.org>, www.talkwiththem.info<http://www.talkwiththem.info>, www.hablaconellos.info<http://www.hablaconellos.info>), messages and associated materials as resources for youth, educators, parents, and other partners. Early next week we will upload a PowerPoint presentation in English and Spanish, which discusses the harms of vaping nicotine and marijuana. This PowerPoint will be made available for download on the Talk With Them (www.talkwiththem.info<http://www.talkwiththem.info>) and Habla con ellos (www.hablaconellos.info<http://www.hablaconellos.info>) websites. We will also distribute social media calendars for these campaigns over the coming months.

Stay True To You is an OHA youth marijuana use prevention campaign, developed in response to recreational marijuana legalization in 2015. The parent sub-component to the campaign is available in English and Spanish and is called Talk With Them and Habla con ellos, respectively. The campaigns include resources for parents, educators, and others who work in youth prevention.

The Stay True to You, Talk With Them and Habla con ellos campaigns were developed through extensive focus group research and applied an approach to message and visual development that resonated across teen affinity groups and that honored the intersectionality of identities. The campaign was also rigorously evaluated. You can read the Stay True to You campaign evaluation reports on the OHA website here and at the below links:
