 Many roses popular in earlier times are flourishing in Oregon’s Historic cemeteries thanks to their natural hardiness and diligent care of volunteers. See what’s blooming up and down the Willamette Valley in these verdant landscapes. Noteworthy historic roses are not the only roses to be found in cemeteries. Learn the secret language of roses reflected in Victorian symbolism engraved on headstones. Discover where you can go to see these remarkable displays of living history linking the past to the present and why it is important to keep them blooming.
