[HIV-STD-Prevention] #u# LGBTQ+ Bilingual HIV/STI Prevention Volunteer Opportunity!

Hello all,

This is Sophia from Edúcate Ya- I'm reaching out with exciting news that Edúcate Ya is going to be hosting it's first Health Educators training: LGBTQ2S+ edition!

I work as the coordinator of our HIV Prevention program, and we are inviting interested volunteers with Spanish-language skills to participate in our Educadores de Salud: LGBTQ2S+ (Health Educator) certification course. This training is in Spanish and focuses on resources and information about HIV/STI prevention and awareness, as well as addressing stigma toward the LGBTQ2S+ community. It's a great opportunity to improve Spanish terminology, learn more about STIs & HIV, and to help the spread of awareness in our communities.

Our LGBTQ2S+ training is coming up on August 27th & 28th, 10am-5pm both days, and we aim to recruit around 15-20 volunteers to become health educators. Each educator is then encouraged to participate in future events in which this information would either be shared via presentations or at an informational table.
