[HIV-STD-Prevention] #u# Bilingual HIV/STI Prevention Volunteer Opportunity

Hola!
My name is Sophia and I work as the coordinator of the HIV Prevention program at Edúcate Ya. We are inviting interested volunteers with Spanish-language skills to participate in our Educadores de Salud (Health Educator) certification course. This training is in Spanish and focuses on resources and information about HIV/STI prevention and awareness, and touches on addressing stigma toward the LGBTQ2S+ community. It's a great opportunity to improve Spanish terminology, learn more about STIs & HIV, and to help the spread of awareness in our communities.
Our next training is coming up on June 4th & 5th, 10am-5pm both days, and we aim to recruit around 15-20 volunteers to become health educators. Each educator is then encouraged to participate in future events in which this information would either be shared via presentations or at an informational table.
If you haven't heard of Edúcate Ya, we are a Latinx nonprofit here in Portland that focuses on facilitating multi-cultural exchanges while addressing challenges faced by Latines in Oregon through bilingual health, leadership, and education programs.
