Hey friends!
I wanted to send along this training announcement in case any of the partners that you work with in local public health branches might have interest and/or partner with folx in the community that may have interest in attending.
As you may know, Oregon SATF provides training and certification for sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs) and sexual assault examiners (SAEs)in the state. Anyone who holds one of the following licenses can become a SANE/SAE: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or Naturopathic Doctor (ND) in the state of Oregon.
SANE/SAE training can help medical providers develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to effectively respond to and care for sexual assault survivors.

This training is one step to becoming a certified SANE/SAE which equips medical providers with the skills to conduct comprehensive forensic medical examinations, provide trauma-informed care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support survivors throughout their care. You don't have to seek out certification for this training to be really meaningful and informative to your practice and referrals however.
If anyone you know is interested in registering, they can do so HERE!<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSehmN5CI_bAvw3vLA5kYYaRBCI1yzI70MYDKvDSX6m9kp5SxQ/viewform> Additionally, if they are interested in future training opportunities, or have any questions, they can reach out to Haley, our training coordinator, at training at oregonsatf.org<mailto:training at oregonsatf.org>.
Please share with anyone you know who might be interested!
