The 13th annual National DIS Recognition Day is October 4th, 2024. On this day and every day, Oregon celebrates the hard work of case investigation staff in promoting STI/HIV prevention, education, and treatment across the state.

OHA's new PrEP Guide for Providers and Navigators is now available on our website<https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/DISEASESCONDITIONS/HIVSTDVIRALHEPATITIS/HIVPREVENTION/Pages/prep-pep.aspx>, under "For Providers" on the PrEP/PEP page. This guide is designed to help anyone interested in supporting people who want access to PrEP. Whether you are a pharmacist, clinician, or prevention specialist, this guide will provide the answers and resources you need to help people access PrEP information, services, and medication. It contains an overview of PrEP, clinical basics for PrEP prescribers, an overview of insurance coverage and payment assistance, as well as a two-page FAQ Patient Handout. The 1-hour Infectious Disease ECHO virtual clinics provide an opportunity to be updated on the latest COVID-19 and infectious disease topics, engage in challenging case discussions, participate in a didactic session and join a learning community to effectively screen, treat, and manage patients with infectious diseases.
