Hello HIV and STI Prevention Partners,
Our End HIV/STI Oregon Mini Grant Program is live and accepting applications!
The End HIV/STI Oregon’s Mini Grant Program supports activities that help OHA and community partners achieve our collective goals within communities disproportionately impacted by HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI). Specifically, we are seeking projects focused on planning and evaluation, including capacity building.
Planning and evaluation includes activities related to planning for the delivery of status-neutral HIV services, including prevention, testing, care and treatment, and evaluating the effectiveness of those services. Activities that planning and evaluation funds may support include:
* Assessment of need
* Assessment of service delivery patterns
* Capacity-building to increase the availability of services
* Obtaining community input
* Program evaluation
Eligible applicants may receive up to $10,000 for approved activities.
This funding opportunity prioritizes organizations that serve diverse communities, including priority populations identified in the End HIV/STI Oregon 5 Year Strategy<https://www.endhivoregon.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/OHA_EndHIVOregon_5-year-strategy-1.pdf>. We aim to include all areas of Oregon, including urban, rural, and frontier, while seeking to develop new partnerships.
Additional application information and the application form can be found on the End HIV Oregon website on the partners page<https://www.endhivoregon.org/partners/>.
If you have questions about whether a potential project may be a good fit for this funding mechanism, please feel free to ask!

NASTAD is pleased to announce the release of a new resource, The Role of Housing in Improving Health Outcomes and HIV Care Continuity for People Who Use Drugs: Narratives and Recommendations from Lived Experience<https://nastad.org/resources/role-housing-improving-outcomes-people-who-use-drugs>. Completed with support from SAMHSA and the Opioid Response Network<https://opioidresponsenetwork.org/>, this document presents first-hand narratives, research, and recommendations to understand and explore housing provision as a comprehensive health and overdose prevention strategy. The resource can be used as a series of topic-specific guidance documents or as an overview of person-centered approaches to housing, drug user health, and HIV care.
The Role of Housing in Improving Health Outcomes and HIV Care Continuity for People Who Use Drugs is intended for public health departments, community-based organizations, and other agencies and partners providing and/or supporting housing programs and working with people who use drugs and people experiencing homelessness. Thank you for your assistance in sharing this resource with any colleagues or partners who may find it helpful.
