Good afternoon,
The OHA Reproductive Health Program is looking for a new clinical or CBO partner to lead the provision of a limited set of reproductive health services and health education workshops at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, a multi-custody prison accommodating all the State of Oregon female adults in custody, or AICs. This grant would provide funding to an organization to manage the project and communication between various partners; provide at least 2 days per month of clinical care; and provide health education workshops to the female adults in custody. Clinical care would include contraceptive counseling and provision, preconception care, and STI testing and treatment. The health education workshops should mirror the clinical care services and provide community resources that would be available upon release from Coffee Creek.
This is not a new project for the Reproductive Health Program or Coffee Creek. A similar grant existed for the past several years but has recently stopped. The RH Program is still connected to the health educator and provider who were providing these services and may be interested in continuing. This could be an option for an interested agency who does not have a clinical provider or health educator on staff with expertise in reproductive health and/or in providing such services to women in custody.
We are hosting a webinar on Tuesday, May 20th at 11 am for interested parties. This is an informal gathering to hear more about the program and what questions you would have, that would inform our Request for Grant Applications later this summer. Please follow this link<https://www.zoomgov.com/meeting/register/pGYJV9YbQsqffuHT7qu4MA> to register. If you are unable to make this webinar, but are still interested, please respond to this email and we can set-up a time to connect.
Thanks,
Becky
