The fact sheet on Oregon Law on Consent for STI/HIV Testing and Treatment of Minors<https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/DISEASESCONDITIONS/HIVSTDVIRALHEPATITIS/SEXUALLYTRANSMITTEDDISEASE/Documents/STI%20Minors%20Fact%20Sheet%202019.pdf> has been updated to align with current statute. Per Oregon law, minors of any age can consent to testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, without the consent of a parent or guardian. Consult the fact sheet for more information.

Hello!

LGBTQIA2S+ community members across Oregon are invited to join a special advisory group for Rethink the Drink<https://www.rethinkthedrink.com/>, an OHA initiative centered on conversations around excessive alcohol use, health and social harms from excessive drinking, and how we can create healthy environments and support people who want to drink less. This group is being held in partnership with Coates Kokes<https://coateskokes.com/> and group strategist and facilitator, marita deLeon<https://www.urhigherselfie.com/>,

This advisory group will meet to help shape how we talk about alcohol use in our queer and trans communities. That includes what messages and materials about excessive alcohol use could be helpful for LGBTQIA2S+ communities.

The group will meet every month or two (1.5-hour meetings) for one year. Participants who are selected can opt in to a stipend of $150/hr for our time together. Zoom meetings will begin in March 2025. Together, we’ll decide the best format for our work to support queer and trans people in our state.

NTHTD will be from 7-9:30 p.m. on  Monday, April 21 at Oaks Park. Free roller skating for all! Free anonymous testing from Multnomah County will also be available.
