We welcome you to join Indian Country ECHO and the IHS Maternal and Child Health Program, Tuesday, April 28th at 11am PT for the Pregnancy Care and Access ECHO session focused on “Public Health Nursing Strategies to Prevent, Test and Treat STIs”. The Pregnancy Care and Access ECHO Program includes an opportunity to engage in a didactic presentation, gain insight on how I/T/U facilities may effectively integrate timely pregnancy care, and become part of a learning community. CE will be provided.
Topic: Public Health Nursing Strategies to Prevent, Test and Treat STIs
Description: In this presentation, a panel of public health nurses describes public health nursing case management strategies used to support pregnant individuals at risk for STIs as well as how to implement community-based outreach strategies and employ interventions that support prevention of congenital STIs and improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
When: Tuesday, April 28th at 11am PT
Audience: Primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, birth workers, behavioral health specialists, administration, tribal leadership, oral health providers, community workforce, and others who share a passion for improving the lives of American Indian and Alaska Native people.

Become a Certified Disease Intervention Professional (formerly known as Disease Intervention Specialist)!
Having your Certified in Disease Intervention (CDI) credential is important because it validates role-specific competencies that might not be fully captured through public health degree programs or other related fields. Certification supports disease intervention workforce pipeline development and promotes professional recognition for experienced practitioners.
The Disease Intervention Certification Examination application registration<https://thisisdiseaseintervention.org/universidi/> is now open, courtesy of the CDI National Program.
Limited free examinations are available for those who register early. There are two examination periods:
* Spring: April 1-May 15, 2026
* Summer: July 1-September 15, 2026.
