The National Coalition for LGBTQ Health believes mpox health information should remain accessible, practical, and credible.
WASHINGTON, DC, May 26, 2026 – Considering the recent removal of LGBTQ+-related healthcare information from public facing websites, it's even more important for the LGBTQ+ community and healthcare providers to know where to access credible mpox resources. With Pride events, summer and holiday travel, and other large gatherings ahead, accurate public health information on mpox should be easy to find, use, and act on.
LGBTQ+ communities have been among those most severely impacted by mpox. Providers, health navigators, LGBTQ+ clinics, and community-based programs need reliable resources they can point to when people are looking for mpox information including, vaccination, identifying symptoms, and care and treatment options.
The National Coalition for LGBTQ Health<https://healthlgbtq.org/?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=8f1ba7c0-3dc8-4347-a4d0-ed2e18d028c0> encourages partners to use and share the MFax Education and Awareness Campaign<https://healthlgbtq.org/mfax/?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=8f1ba7c0-3dc8-4347-a4d0-ed2e18d028c0> and materials available on its Mpox Resource Center<https://healthlgbtq.org/mpox/?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=8f1ba7c0-3dc8-4347-a4d0-ed2e18d028c0>. These resources explain mpox transmission, symptoms, prevention, and vaccination. They also include shareable social media graphics, vaccine locator information, and other trusted reference materials. Partners can use these tools to support outreach, guide conversations about vaccination and prevention, and keep accurate mpox information visible throughout Pride season and beyond.
