The 2026 Meaningful Care Conference is a day-long training event for healthcare and social service professionals. The event is hybrid, with the in-person conference taking place at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel in Portland, OR.
The Meaningful Care Conference aims to promote 2SLGBTQ+ cultural competency, share current promising practices, and to develop and diversify networks of culturally competent providers.
This year's theme is Creative Resistance: Community Power through Community Care.
The Meaningful Care Conference seeks to:
· Promote Two Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex + culturally responsive health care and social services by uplifting marginalized voices and centering lived-experience
· Take an intersectional approach to addressing multi-level health disparities
· Share updated promising and evidence-based applications of 2SLGBTQ+ culturally responsive health care
· Develop and diversify networks of 2SLGBTQ+ culturally responsive health care and social service providers
· Move past equality and equity to center lived-experience, systems-change, and justice
· Be change-based, with community leading the way on challenging systems

The conference planning committee is seeking onsite and online volunteers for the 2026 2SLGBTQ+ Meaningful Care Conference! Volunteers are eligible for a discounted ticket.

Continuing Education

The NCSH is offering an STI Awareness Week Toolkit with practical, evidence-based resources on STI prevention, testing, and communication. The toolkit features social media graphics, videos, conversation starters, and more.
