Dear Colleagues-
On Thursday, January 28, scientists serving on an Ecological Flow Technical Advisory Group (EFTAG) will hold their first meeting at the Water Resources Department (725 Summer St. NE, Suite A, Salem). The meeting will take place in the 3rd floor Rogue Conference Room from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, and will review the current state of literature and methods available for determining ecological flows. The meeting will be the first in a series of meetings on this topic. While open to the public, this meeting will not provide opportunity for public comment. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Brandi.M.Elmer at wrd.state.or.us<mailto:Brandi.M.Elmer at wrd.state.or.us> by noon on January 28.
The Ecological Flow Technical Advisory Group is comprised of scientists from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, The Nature Conservancy, the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, Oregon State University, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Oregon Water Resources Department. The Independent Multidisciplinary Science Team (IMST) will be providing peer review throughout this process. The January 28 meeting agenda is attached.
