Good morning,

I believe Maikia sent this out earlier in the week. but wanted to remind you that this funding opportunity is open, and share some information I learned about it.

There will be 60 awards. Cycle 1 will run from April 1, 2012 through December 30, 2012. Cycle 2 will be November 2012 through May 2013. Projects will be implemented over 8 months. The fundamental intent of this funding is to connect grantees with the 15 hours of public health focused quality improvement coaching. Grantees will receive dedicated webinar and teleconference opportunities, as well as peer exchange. The grants will support sending one person to the next open forum for the Strengthening the Community of Practice for Public Health Improvement (COPPHI) in June 2012.

Intent to apply is January 6, 2012, closing at 3 PM ET. The proposal deadline is January 26, 2012 also at 3 PM ET. The proposal is only 3 pages. Sites will be notified by March 2, with a cycle 1 contract start date of April1, 2012.

I hope you will consider applying for this opportunity. It is a great way to get nationally recognized public health expertise into our system.

Lydia
